Johnny walked through the city
With a pocket full of change
And a wallet full of money
Which he got from his father
He wandered through the sea of people
No glances were exchanged
And, Johnny, then he came upon this corner
And on this corner sat a man
Who held his fishing hat out in his hand
And he said, "Son,
Can you spare a dime or two?
I'm hungry and I need to get some food."
And Johnny said, "I'm sorry, sir,
But I can't give you a cent.
I have to buy myself dinner too."
The old man felt the pain deep in His side
Johnny had broken off the line
So johnny turned around
And headed back out to sea
Seeing that the street light had turned green
He took out his wallet
Looked at his twenties and his fins,
And Johnny then heard the old man scream,
"Don't expect me to help you when you're in need!"
