As a young boy johnny was a lonely soul
His classmates left him in the cold
But johnny was a star and he knew it well
He was writing hit songs before he could spell
Johnny’s parents tried to teach him what they knew
They put his life in perspective they told him what to do
But in his heart he knew this wouldn’t take him far
Johnny had his sights set for the stars
Johnny went to town to see a show one night
He saw himself strumming in the spotlight
Went back home and through together a band
started to plan the revolution of a land
fame got hold,yeah, rock’n’roll
the devil was there to take away his soul
Johnny star and the moonshine band
Had the world in the palm of his hand
In the night when the time was right
Johnny decided to take his life
No one knew he was on the edge
When from the 21st floor he jumped the ledge
Like rain he fell out of the sky
His friends weren’t there to watch him die
No more songs from the future king
His band plays on but no one sings at all!
